I gotta ask, where did you get the inspiration with dv from? I get like final countdown but what else. Also, pre-shift, does Poland end up getting any crusiers/carriers cause their navy is the only service that is not getting really any attention.
it originally started as a book cover for a story about Final Countdown x 2 that just spiraled into a bigger size, it is kinda similar to the Axis of Time series but isn't like... pro-war crimes or have any of the early 2000s immediately post-9/11 Islamophobia.
Pre-shift Poland? They probably have a small navy but are *the* land power in Europe
True. But nah it’s a cool idea. So Poland becomes the land army of nato. So what happens to turkey pre-shift. Also does the us ever build a cyclone class like patrol boat again.
Ahhh, cause I would figure island knife fights with China would mean a return to patrol boats for close fire support. And that’s the first thing that surpised me especially considering how big of a player they are nowadays.
Yeah Coast Artillery is revived to manage stuff like anti-ship PFAL and then units dedicated to very long range/heavy stuff like LRHW, OpFire, and SLRC
oh yeah Vietnam is still run by the CPV, they have liberalized somewhat but are still not a full democracy—they join OSATO because they get attacked by the PRC (not really intentionally) during first sino
yeah i think you might have more significant liberalization, i just haven't really made my mind up yet—it starts out as strange bedfellows but they are a full member of the club
This will be controversial, but does U.S Armed Forces esp the ground force element accept and or incorporate penals? Either a good old "enlist or jail" options by the judge, or even ruski-esque penal battalion. Unless you are against it value-wise

So how does ww2 end in dv? Does Japan meet shock and awe or do the soviets decide to dday them.
i can't give away all the plot!

Turkey, don't have any lore yet tbh.
Cyclones probably get a replacement, plus a lot more Mark VI type boats

What does Civilian Climate Corps do?
its a real thing ! https://www.blm.gov/careers/students-and-grads/civilian-climate-corps
Ah just learned it today...
Just sharing... This is the reasoning that anti ship units in your lore revived the name "Coast Artillery" I see.

Does Indonesia even exist in this lore? Or they like in the Ghost fleet when Sino American war broke out?
oh yeah they exist—but there is a bunch of stuff for the pre-shift that i haven't fleshed out yet
Same as 'what kind of government vietnam is', are they still communist or not...
oh yeah Vietnam is still run by the CPV, they have liberalized somewhat but are still not a full democracy—they join OSATO because they get attacked by the PRC (not really intentionally) during first sino
Hmmm, I see. Self preservation.
(While in my own lore, they basically got a Velvet revolution of their own, yet still rejected the old South Vietnam legacy and ita symbolism)
yeah i think you might have more significant liberalization, i just haven't really made my mind up yet—it starts out as strange bedfellows but they are a full member of the club
Well, a plausible scenario through. Not to judge.
Thanks.

Have you considered publishing with Sea Lion Press? This would be right up their alley.
